Volunteers are needed...we have a great core group of volunteers here at the Food Bank however the numbers have dwindled in recent months and our busy Wednesday mornings are even busier without a full team! If anyone has spare time from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm on Wednesdays and wants to get more involved with us don't hesitate to let us know! We also need volunteers for various other activities (food shipment arrivals, food recovery, special events, etc.) so if you would like to be placed on the list as an occasional helper that would be fantastic too! Tax season is fast approaching and we wanted to let you know about the 2013 Charitable Donation Tax Credit. First time donors are eligible for a "super credit" and those that have donated before are eligible for a credit as well. More information is available on the CRA website www.cra-arc.gc.ca. Click on the "Charities and Giving" tab, and then the "Claiming Charitable Tax Credits" link. All the information is there to make sure that you get all of the benefits from your donations.
